- Rare comb for man. Under the French Consulat, men (and Bonaparte himself) used to hold up their long hair in a chignon secured by a comb. This one is of tortoiseshell covered on top with a gold plaque. The two teeth on each side are covered too. It is decorated with a nice porcelaine cameo. Hallmarks on the back.
