- The boxwood is the better wood for dressing combs. Nowadays, there is no craftman perpetuating this job which needs too much time (a good craftman can only produce three combs a day). There are as many as 200 different types of combs, classified according to the hairstyle or the purpose of which they are intended ; they are made for geisha, kabuji and sumo haidressers.
