  • The typical South Indian braid ornament (choti), popularly known as jadanagam or hair serpents, are associated with snake iconography. Long black hair falling down to the knees are supposed to resemble the black cobra. This choti consists in small segments mounted on cotton material bordered with tiny beads. Note the impressive pompon of embossed metal and beads.
