- Gorgeous kushi-kogai set made of black lacquered tortoiseshell and decorated with maple leaves design. The maple tree ("Momiji" in Japanese which means "Come back") is famous and very appreciated in Japan, especially in autumn. The artist, who signed the comb on the back side, has used maki-e lacquer as well as cinabar lacquer. For more refinement, he added tiny pieces of mother-of-pearl inlaid in a leaf.
