- Lion shaped comb for a dead. On the brass is inscribed a verse referring to the day of the person's departure. The line in Hebrew translates to: "A day of darkness, a day of mayhem comes upon us". It was made in order to comb the dead person's hair during the "tahara" (purification). It was bought in France, so it may have made for a person whose name was Leon. The JEWISH MUSEUM IN PRAGUE contains a great number of combs and implements for ritually cleansing the deceased.
