  • Outstanding 'peineton' hair comb, made and designed by Manuel Hugo Paz Morquio, from Montevideo, Uruguay. He was a multitalented artist and felt in love with the huge Masculino's combs in vogue during the 1830' in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From the 1930 untill 1960, he designed similar combs as an "aesthetic sublimation of popular art" (according to a diarist comment). This comb is representative of its models: it is huge, fan shaped and pierced with lacy motifs. In other words, it is a true work of art.
