Set of three haircombs, Toledo style, in original box from Leon Eguiazu, 15, Hernani, SAN SEBASTIAN - Espagne. Leon Eguiazu commenced trade at 15, Hernani San Sebastian in Spain, 15, Hernani, San sebastian and also 45 bld Montmartre, PARIS. Eguiazu was a well known artist from the province of Guipuzcoa who specialized in damaskeened iron. A laborious technique, highlighting the brightness of gold inlay against an intense blackened background of steel. The damascene art is mostly associated with Toledo.
